I’m Jess and have been a wedding celebrant since 2012, my first wedding was for a co-worker who was also a close friend. She'd seen me MC at a few other weddings for friends and literally out of the blue, one day at work she turned to me one day and said "We've been thinking, we'd like you to be our celebrant!" I had a long think about it as I knew it was a very serious commitment, looked into the process and said yes!

My friend had an authorised celebrant perform the legal aspects and I wrote and performed their ceremony. It was the first time I'd ever done this before. Afterwards, two other engaged couples approached me and said "we're engaged and we loved you! Can you be our celebrant too?" I saw this as a positive sign, became enrolled to study celebrancy and now 8 years on, the rest is history!
